Frequently Asked Questions
How much will it cost to have my piano tuned?
This will depend largely on how long it has been since your piano was last tuned.
I have two tiers of pricing- one for regular tuning, and one for a double tuning a.k.a. chip tuning or a pitch raise. If your piano hasn't been tuned for many years it will usually need to undergo the double tuning process. For specific prices, visit my price list page.
How often should my piano be tuned?
It's recommended that a piano be tuned at least once a year regardless the amount it is played. Pianos being made of wood, metal, and cloth are susceptible to the elements, expanding and contracting from warm and cold seasons as well as changes in humidity. If neglected for too many years the piano will not only fall out of tune with itself but it will also stray from the standard tuning pitch of A440
